About Lucy Hatch

Moses Hatch b. Jan 1, 1768 in Guilford,(New Haven), Conn. Moved with his father to Southampton, where hi lived until after he was married on Jan 10,1789, to Lucy Bascom daughter of Elisha And Lucy (Sheldon) Bascom. After marriage Moses and Lucy resided in Montgomery Mass, until 1821, then moved to westfield Mass, where they were members of the First Congregational Church. He possessed considerable property, but like his father, worked as a Blacksmith.

Moses Hatch died at Westfield on July 27,1825 and in May ,1830, Lucy was married to Moses Budy of Farmington Ohio, where she died on Dec 10, 1846, the day before her 75th birthday.
