Inscription on tombstone: Livingston-Plunket (research of census shows the name Plunket should have two t's; therefore, the memorial has been submitted as Plunkett.)

Source of data: census records. Lucy C. Ward married Andrew J. Livingston in Newton, GA on 30 March 1856. The 1860 Carroll Co., GA census enumerates the Livingston's with children, Dilila, Abigail (**) and Jas R. (note spellings of names.) Andrew J. Livingston died while serving in the Civil War. In Newton County, GA on 11 April 1865 Lucy Livingston married John Plunkett. The 1870 Leesburg, Cherokee Co., Alabama census enumerates John and Lucy Plunkett with children in the household, Dalier Plunkett, Abijah Plunkett, Martha Plunkett and Mary Plunkett. Actually, Delilah, Abigail and Martha's surnames were Livingston and Mary's surname was Plunkett. After the death on July 22, 1874 of Lucy C. Livingston-Plunkett, her spouse, John Plunkett, married Mrs. Sarah E. Barney on 1 April 1875 in Etowah Co., AL.
