She was the daughter of John and Amy Seeley Foote of Newtown Connecticut. She married Abel Sherman in 1764.

Children:

• Ezra Sherman was born in 1765. He died before 1850.
• Anna Sherman was born on 10 May 1769. She died on 15 Feb 1848.
• Josiah Sherman was christened on 4 Nov 1770. He died on 29 May 1842.
• Pheobe Sherman was born on 11 Jul 1772. She died on 11 Mar 1864.
• Clarissa Sherman was born about 1775. She died after Aug 1856.
• Eli Sherman was born on 13 Feb 1781. He died on 22 May 1862.
• Lucy Sherman was born on 6 Nov 1783. She died on 10 Jan 1864.
• Amy Sherman was born on 22 Jul 1785. She died on 3 Aug 1875.

Lucy Foote Sherman was Aged 92 when she died, some records indicate she was buried in Beverely cemetery.
