Luis Larde Arthes

He went to study to Germany. This happens around 1953. He had won a bourse. The problem was the government of El Salvador cut it before he finish his studies in Astronomy. He was brilliant and learn German language very quickly and well. He remains there and got a job at the University where he teach German! He married Monika, a German girl, and lived there for many years, having procreated two beautiful girls: Isabel and Beatriz.

He returned to El Salvador, in bad time because a civil war was already initiated. His wife and him started a company of publicity. They have preferred to remain in El Salvador.

Some years after he became sick with a brain cancer and dyed, practically young in the 80's.

When I was a kid, he lived with us, my mom, my grand-mom, my uncle Mauricio and my little sister Imaltzin. Both, him and Mauricio, were very nice to us must of the time and I have beautiful souvenirs of such time together. I remember his favorite song "Contigo en la Distancia". When they wanted my mom not be angry with them anymore, they used to take me shopping! I still remember a dress with dots, somehow in my memory the color was red!

We lived in El Salvador, Central America, in San Salvador and our address was: Quinta Praga, Calle del Convento, Mejicanos. This place do not exists anymore! It was a little country house surrendered by fruit trees and coffee, and now it has been changed by a lot of mini houses! So sad!
