The death age for Luka is very specific, so the probabilty of his birth year 1729 being accurate is very likely. This means if a 1729 baptism registry for a Luka Ivacich was found in Sinj or Knin it would be a good possibility that it was this Luka.

Note: Luka muž od Laure de Bonis i Ivanica žena Ante Mindoljevića, su brat i sestra od istih roditelja odnosno oca Luke Ivačića (this is speculation by Ozren. Currently we have not found any records to indicate that Luka and Ivanica were related or had the same father. We don’t know Luka’s father’s name because we have not located any records that indicate the name of his father. 10/30/19)

This family is mentioned for the first time in Split in 1737, at the wedding of Ivanica Ivačić from Knin to Antoine Mindoljevic. Continuity has been realized since 1753 with the marriage of Luke Ivačić to Laura de Bonis. It is a trade-craft family that often comes from Split, initially mostly in Makarska, and later in other Dalmatian cities. For example, Lukin son Jerolim married in Makarska in 1795 with Magdalen Pavlovic-Lucic after the death of his first wife (Angiola Cipci). His brother Juraj, who was one of the four members of the Trade Commission in 1806, married 1808 (for the third time) with the Split nobleman Katar Geremi. His son, John Dominik (1801-1846), was recorded as the first district commissioner in death. Opeth Stjepan Ivacic, a professor of literature at the Classical High School, a man of high culture, was one of the few Splinchians who maintained some literary continuity during the cultural decadence (1813-1848). Jerolim's son, a craftsman, Ivan Josip, was married to Katica Barbarić in 1825, but they are leaving Split. For the sake of frequent emigration, it is difficult to follow the continuity, but they must live in Dalmatian towns (Makarska, Zadar and others) and in the early 20th century. They should be distinguished from the Trogir family Ivacic-Cankin, who was at the end of the 19th century of a difficult orientation. In 1832, four or six members of the Ivacic family lived in Split, which own 53,420 m2 of land in Dujmovača and Pijatu, which are handled by colonies, enjoying income of 3590 m2 per head.

Note: Split marriage registry of Luka Ivacich does not specify where he was born or who his father was.

Split death registry records his age at death as 54 in 1783. This would put his birth year at 1729. Death registry does not list name of Luca's father.

July 10, 2019 - There is no recorded evidence at this time to connect Luca to Ivana Ivacich from Knin.
