Lea, a niece of Peter Stuyvesant at that time Dutch governor of New Amsterdam, now the city of New York. Governor Stuyvesant gave his niece and her husband a grant of land of 200 acres in what is now the heart of New york City.

Lea Villeman, daughter of (parents unknown). She married Jacques Cossart of Leyden, Holland who was also an immigrant.

They arrived in the ship "De Purmerlander Kerck," to New Amsterdam, New Netherlands in 1663 with two children.

"De Purmerlander Kerck," Captain Barentsen. Holland to New Amsterdam, Colonial New Netherlands. Left Holland 12 Oct 1662; Quick port stop 14 Oct 1662. Records of other ships taking this trip indicate about a 3 month voyage aboard the ship with arrival in early 1663 to the New Netherlands (now New York).
