Being the first born of her father's third wife, she had 8 older step brothers and sisters. Married at age 14 years 9 months to Tobias Miller. Made their home in Chevoit, Ohio where Elizabeth S was born on Dec 14 1830 (married Washington G Hiatt May 14 1852), Benjamin Franklin was born on July 31 1832 (married Margaret J Sutton May 14 1857 in Oregon), Christopher J was born on April 10 1834 (Married Sarah had 4 children) he died of measles in March 1863 serving the Union during the Civil War; he is buried in St Louis Military Cemetery, Mary Jane was born on Oct 25 1835(Married Charles Risley April 22 1856), Ann Maria was born on Aug 27 1839 (Married Loyd B Stephens July 13 1856), Hannah was born on May 30 1844, Almira Susan was born in Cincinnati on Nov 11 1845 (Married James H Hopkins Feb 6 1864), Curtis Edwards on Dec 24 1847 (Married Anna W Shipley in Sams Valley, Oregon Nov 21 1905; adopted Flossie Parker whose name was changed to Florence Eva Miller, Florence married Robert Starns, son of Edith May Newton Starns), Edwin Hamlin was born on Oct 27 1848 (Married Mary A Coss Aug 14, 1870 then Molly in 1914), Priscilla G was born on Mar 21 1852 she died June 7 1866 in Iowa and Eva Martha was born on Apr 15 1857 in Davenport, Scott County, Iowa (she married William H Newton Oct 14, 1874). The family later moved to Jasper County, Iowa then on to Oregon in 1874.
