Lydia Stewart

“Apparently Lydia was descended from the Stewart royal family in Scotland and on her mother's side was descended from Miles Standish. William and Amy Hulton Stewart were her parents.”

She was born November 18, 1773 in Bolton, Warren County, New York. She married John Tanner, a good baptist, and also a widower on January 2nd, 1801. She died May 31, 1825 in Bolton at age 52, several weeks after giving birth to her twelfth child. Many of her children would became a great strength to the newly organized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
