LYMAN DAYTON 95, DIED MARCH 6, 1963 AT FIVE COUNTIES HOSPITAL. DEATH WAS ATTRIBUTED TO OLD AGE. HE DIED AT LEMMON, SOUTH DAKOTA. HE WAS BORN AT COOPERSTOWN, NEW YORK ON NOVEMBER 8, 1867. HE WITH HIS FAMILY MOVED TO JUNEAU COUNTY, WISCONSIN WHEN HE WAS A CHILD. HE RECEIVED HIS EDUCATION IN WISCONSIN. HE MARRIED LULU NIMBAR AT MAUSTON ON APRIL 15, 1896. THEY MOVED TO SOUTH DAKOTA IN 1907 AND SETTLED AT SPRING BUTTE TOWNSHIP..
MR. DAYTON FOLLOWE A FARMING VOCATION ALL HIS LIFE. HE SERVED ON TOWNSHIP AND SCHOOL BOARDS FOR MANY YEARS AND TOOK AND ACTIVE PART IN THE AFFAIRS OF HIS COMMUNITY..
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, TWO SONS, TWO DAUGHTERS, 23 GRANDCHILDREN AND 34 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY A DAUGHTER, IVA, IN 1918.
