Lyman Mack Veazey, Jr.

CHILDERSBURT - Memorial Service for Lyman Mack Veazey, Jr, 84, will be 10:30 am Wednesday, March 31 at First United Methodist Church of Childersburg with the Rev Ralph Barrow officiating. Mr Veazey died March 28, 2010 at St Vincent's Medical Center in Birmingham. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Veazey and son, Lyman Mack Veazey, III. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Childersburg, a Veteran of the Army Air Corp during WWII, owner and operator of Veazey Sales and Service Inc in Childersburg, and a member of the Shriners. Survivors are daughters Jo Hawkins of Mt Juiliet, TN, Pegy Rogers of Hilton Head, SC, Jan Childress of Pensacola FL, Toni Malone of Chelsea, and Terry Tubbs of Decatur; sons Guy Veazey of Spring, TX and Rebel Veazey of Gulf Springs, FL, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the irst United Methodist Church in Childersburg, Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel will direct the service.
