Lynnie S. Talley

Lynnie S. Talley, 91, passed away Monday, June 1, 1999 in Houston, Texas after a brief illness. She was born November 27, 1907 in Biardstown, Texas to Willis and Arie Zora Shewmaker. Mrs. Talley was preceded in death by her husband Jasper Delma Talley in 1974. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, Lodge 1044, and a member of Morgan Avenue Baptist Church. She resided in Corpus Christi for 54 years and was retired from Lichtensteins/Frost Brothers. She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy "Dot" Watson of Corpus Christi, Texas, Nancy Parsons of Camp Verde, Arizona, and Linda Dell Middaugh of Shiner, Texas; ten grandchrildren; seven great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and her sister Kate Embry of Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 1999 and from 9:00 a.m. until service time Saturday, June 5, 1999 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors Everhart Chapel. Interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her six grandsons.
