The Press of Atlantic City: Wednesday, March 23, 1994 MABEL SARAH JACOBS, 91, of Hammonton, died Monday at the William B. Kessler Memorial Hospital. She was a private duty nurse for more than 30 years.
Mrs. Jacobs was the leader of the Democratic party in the Hammonton area during the Franklin D. Roosevelt presidency, and was influential in helping to place area people in jobs under the Works Progress Administration.
She was a member of the Hammonton Baptist Church. Born in Folsom, she was a lifelong area resident.
She is survived by a son, Donald C., a daughter, Barbara Hopkins; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held 11a.m. Thursday at Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St., Hammonton, where friends may call after 10a.m.
Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Hammonton.
