Died in her house 7 Sultan St , Stellenbosch, suddenly of a stroke on the morning of 21 December 1999 while cutting up chicken for her party the next day. A memorial service was held at the Stellenbosch United Church, presided over by the Rev Martin Lund from the Somerset West's church as our minister was away.
