About Mabel Ure
Mabel is a daughter of Henry Frederick McCune and Elizabeth Temperance Grace. Her parents were both English immigrants. Elizabeth was born in England and Henry was born in India.
Born and raised in Nephi, Utah, Mabel moved to Ogden as a young woman and was a piano teacher. After James Ure lost his first wife in 1906, Mabel married him on September 10, 1906 in Ogden. They lived in Ogden and Salt Lake City and raised three children: James William III, Marian, and Henry McCune.
