Mabel de Vere

There is confusion in this region of the tree even on Medlands Although below it shows that Mabel d/o Earl Robert de Caen married Aubrey de Vere none of the entries for Aubrey de Veres (there are several) mention a marriage to Mabel.

suggests that Jordan de Champernon (Campn Arnulfi) was the son of Mabel not the Husband:

MABEL FitzRobert. "Mabira daughter of Earl Robert, mother of Jordan de Campo Ernulfi and lady of Maisoncelles [Mansum cellarum]" donated property to the abbey of Saint-Etienne, Plessis-Grimoud by charter dated [1170][1369]. [1370][m AUBREY de Vere].

Suggests that Mabel married Aubrey de Vere first and then Jordan de Champernon (born ABT 1096, Cambernon and Maisoncelles Died: BEF 1190) and issue by second marriage was: Richard, Jordan & Henry de Champernon
