About Madeline Williams

Madeline Williams(Nee; Cooke), was the mother of Sarah, Billy, Nathaniel, James and Rosie and the wife of Roger Williams. She was the second born of Clifford and Catherine. She was the younger sister of Henry. She was the older half-sister of William, George and Edwin.

Childhood-teenaged years: She was born in Newquay, to parents Clifford and Catherine. She was always very close with her older brother Henry. Her childhood best-friends Ethel White, Agnes O'Connor and Shirley Walsh. She and her three best-friends used to flirt with all the boys, spend their time with each other and more. Shirley moved away and just before she moved away, she fell out with Madeline, Ethel and Agnes and never saw them again. She met Roger Williams, at 13 and fell in love with him, she begged her father to stay in contact with the William family and he did. At 16, she ran away from home, after sending many letters to Roger Williams, she went to his house and they started dating after that. At 18, she moved to Alberts Village and didn't return to Newquay for a few years. She and Roger married, when she was 19 and he was 22. Together they had five kids.

Life With Roger: She got a job in Alberts Village, working in a local pub, she spent most of her time either in the pub, at home or somewhere else. She loved her kids and treated them fairly, she was strict, but kind, She was very close to her kids, especially Sarah, who would keep her younger siblings out of danger. Madeline was 45, when her son Nathaniel died, she and Roger went to investigate his body and it broke her heart. Two weeks later, she discovered that her second born Billy killed Nathaniel, when they were playing around, Billy found a gun and shot Nathaniel, Nathaniel fell over and landed in the water and drowned, she never spoke to Billy again and disowned him. When he went to jail, all she had to say was "Good Riddance", three days later, she saw Billy breaking into a house across the street, she called the police, but by the time the police had got there, he had already gone. When Sarah left for Los Angeles, she was sad to see the back of her, but was happy for her, when James left, she was also happy, she kept telling Rosie to go and live her life, out of the village and finally left at 28 years old and was happy for her. In 1984, she got up out of bed, looked at her husband Roger and realised that he wasn't breathing and rushed downstairs and called the ambulance, he was then rushed to hospital and the doctors announced him dead. She broke down at his funeral and become quite depressed and heart broken. In 1960, she met her friends Ethel and Agnes again, they moved close to Alberts Village, the three always went to the pub, talked about old times and more. They were there for her, when Roger died and helped her through depression, like she did when they were going through sadness. Ethel died in 1986 and Agnes died in 1992. She was then again heart broken when her best friends died. In 2000, she went back to her hometown Newquay and saw her half-bother George, who had a drink with her, down the pub.

Death: In 2001, she had a visitor at her door, somebody who she hasn't saw for 79 years, that person was Shirley Walsh. She forgave Shirley and the pair went down the pub together and had one last drink together. When she was leaving the pub, she felt dizzy and fainted and fell to the floor, the ambulance was called and her body was taken in a body bag. Shirley went to her funeral and was the final friend she had.
