• * * M. E. Crutchfield Dies Saturday at Klamath Falls Madison E. Crutchfield, age 75, of Klamath Falls, Oregon, died at Klamath Falls Saturday June 26. He was a native of Sheridan, and was the brother of Mrs. Dean Winston of Sheridan. Mr. Crutchfield was born October 2, 1895, the son of the late Henry and Emily Crutchfield. At age 18 he joined the Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church. In 1944 he and his family moved to Klamath Falls, where they have lived since. He was a retired employee of Ewana Box Company and Kesterson Lumber Company, retiring in 1962. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mamie J. Crutchfield of Klamath Falls; five sons, R. O. Crutchfield of Baker, Oregon, Delomo, Henry and Autra Crutchfield, all of Klamath Falls, and G. B. Crutchfield of Anderson, California; three daughters, Mrs. Lewis Stubbs and Mrs. William Shelby, both of Klamath Falls, and Mrs. Richard Tomlin of Oxnard, California; a brother, Herbert Crutchfield of Blytheville; another sister, Mrs. Clara Ashcraft of Klamath Falls, 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wards Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Billy Shocky pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. Burial was in Eternal Hills Memorial Garden at Klamath Falls.
