Ypsilanti, Michigan. Age 83, Mae (Caudill) Eldridge Beck passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 peacefully with her loving family at her side. She was born December 9, 1927 in Ulvah, Kentucky, the daughter of Marion and Sylvania (Bush) Caudill.
Mae loved her family, friends, Tigers baseball, Red Wings hockey, gardening, family holidays together, garage sales, crafts and baking. Survivors include: her beloved husband of 38 years, Jack Beck of Ypsilanti; daughter, Tina Eldridge of Ypsilanti; two sons, Donnie (Shirley) Eldridge and Stan (Brenda) Eldridge, both of Ypsilanti; three grandchildren, Tracy (Dan) Stanish, Nicole and Chad Eldridge, all of Ypsilanti; three great grandchildren, Miranda, Mason and Marcus Stanish, all of Ypsilanti; her "special sister" Faye Bowling of Ypsilanti; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by: her husband Edward Eldridge in 1973; son Ronald Eldridge in 2000; daughter Connie Cooper in 2003; six brothers, Mason Caudill, Hobe Caudill, Fred Caudill, Chester Caudill, Marion Caudill and Roy Caudill; and four sisters, Myrtle O'Brien, Mattie Griffie, Ome Holland and Pearlie Caudill. The funeral service will be 11 am Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Stark Funeral Service with Mike Long and Bob Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Alban Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Kidney Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home where the family will receive friends 5-9 pm Monday.
