About Maeser Kendall Bunnell
Funeral services for Maeser Kendall Bunnell, 59; 3283 E. 7800 South, who died Sunday in a Salt Lake hospital after a long illness, will be held Thursday at 1 p.m., in the West Jordan Stake House, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7950 S. 1700 West. Friends may call at 4760 S. State Wednesday from 7-9 p.m., and at the stake house Thurs-day one hour prior to services. Burial will he in the Murray Cemetery.
Mr. Bunnell was a school teacher in the North Sanpete School District prior to moving to the Jordan district in 1946. From 1946 to 1967 he served as principal of various Jordan District schools, including Granite, South Jordan and West Jordan elementary schools, and Jordan Junior High School. He was a member of Jordan Utah and national education associations and of the Parent-Teacher Assn., and Secondary Principals Assn.
Mr. Bunnell had been active in scouting YMMIA and Sunday School programs in the Butler Third LDS Ward. He was born Jan. 25, 1908 in Spring City, Sanpete County, to Stephen Lewis and Helena Rees Bunnell. He married Maxine C. Staker August 15 1936, in Evanston. Wyoming.
Surviving are his widow a son, Dr. Henry K. Norfolk. Virginia, a daughter, Mrs. David V. (Judith) Draper, Salt Lake City; seven grand-children; two brothers and a sister, Stephen R., Brigham City; Morris T., Spring City, and Mrs. Alfred B. (Rowena) Walters, Magna.
