About Mag. Nikola Marić
First mentioned in Split in 1640, from Čiovo. Perhaps his brother moved at the same time or arrived in Split shortly afterwards.
MK: First two children born in Trogir (1631 and 1634), he moved to Split sometime between 1634 and 1640. He probably married in Trogir, but Trogir marriage records are only preserved from 1702 onwards
Nikola Marić (and Marić family in general) was from the Trogir suburb of Čiovo (Isola Boa) and not the island per se.
