In the Precis of the Archives of the Cape of Good Hope, Letters Received 1695-1708, by H.C.V. Leibbrandt, Cape Town, 1896, page 48, appears the following:

(from Mauritius - 30 Sep 1695) We cannot refrain from mentioning the great fidelity displayed by the master woodcutter Dirk Ottense and two of his men, Harme Gerritse Munnick and Christoffel Jacobse of Dantzig, in saving the Company's property on the plants.

At the baptism of her third son, who was named Hermanus, the witnesses were Gerrit Munniks and Rachel Munniks. Were these her brother and sister?
