Prominent Methodist minister in Northern California. For much of his career, he was "Director of Evangelism" for Ca & NV. Preached from 1909 (minister 1909-1912 at the Willow Glen Church in San Jose County) to at least 1952 (guest speaker at Sonora church).
His wife (Emily/Emma) was prominent in the local Berkeley chapter of the Women's Christian Temperance Union in the 1930's.
Daughter: Virginia/Vira born c. 1923 was maid of honor at cousin Marjorie's wedding.
Son: Gardener G. Young (born 1912) was engaged to Janet Elizabeth Bar (a soprano who sang professionally for a Stockton radio station in the 1930's).
