US Congressman. He served during the Civil War first as a Sergeant in Company H, 121st Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, then as as a Sergeant in Company K, 21st Veterans Reserve Corps. He was elected as a Republican to represent Pennsylvania as At-Large Delegate in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1893 to 1895.
