About Maj Charles B. Hall

1st Lieutenant Charles B. Hall, USAAF, 99th Fighter Squadron, was the first of the famous “Tuskegee Airmen” to shoot down an enemy fighter during World War II. At the time the 99th was based at El Haouaria Airfield in Tunisia and was patrolling the coast of Sicily. The squadron’s primary mission was ground attack.

He completed 108 combat missons.
