Biographical Summary

"Sir Henry Calder, Baronet [S. 1686], of Park House, 2d but 1st surv. s. and h., b. probably about 1740, entered the Army, becoming finally Major-General, Col. of the 30th Foot, and Lieut. Gov. of Gibraltar; suc. to the Baronetcy, 19 Sep. 1774. Ho m. firstly (settlement 1 March 1767), Elizabeth, yst. da. and coheir of Augustine Earle, of Heydon, Norfolk. She d. s.p. Will dat. 2 May, pr. 9 June 1786. He m. secondly, 18 Jan. 1789, at St. Marylebone, Louisa, da. of Admiral Henry Osborne. He d. 3 Feb. 1792, at Bath. Admon. Feb. 1793. His widow living 1800."
