I found the marriage record in South Carolina of Capt Harman Davis to Dorothy Oswald.

Birth: Feb. 12, 1738

Death: Feb. 18, 1805 Newberry County South Carolina, USA

Harmon Davis is the son of Rezin (Reason) Davis and Elizabeth Causey. Records of the period indicate he recieved a grant of 200 acres in Berkley County on 12 April 1784. May 1776 shows he was 1st Lt in 4th SC artillery. Wounded 9 Oct 1779 at Savannah, Ga. Captured at Charleston, SC 12 May 1780.

Van Davis memorial #5199370 was the brother of Harmon Davis, Sr. Son Harmon Davis,Jr was born 1756 died 1805
