Major Malcolm Victor Alexander Wolfe Murray was born on 16 December 1908.
He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Arthur Alexander Wolfe Murray and Evelyn Mary Hay Mackenzie.
He married, firstly, Lady Grizel Mary Boyle, daughter of Captain Patrick James Boyle, 8th Earl of Glasgow and Hyacinthe Mary Bell, on 23 April 1935.
He married, secondly, Zofia Cecilia Jaxa-Chamiec, daughter of Zygmunt Jaxa-Chamiec and Zofia Ciecierska, on 10 June 1947.
He died on 15 March 1985 at age 76.

- Graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts.
- Fought in the Second World War.
