About Major Thomas Theopolis Hill, (CSA)
Attended the University of Virginia. Older brother of Lieutenant General A.P. Hill, CSA. He was also a brother-in-law to Confederate General John M. Jones. Before the Civil War, he was a lawyer in Charlottesville and Alexandria. During the Civil War, he was a captain of cavalry, to date from July 18, 1863, and a judge on the Third Corps court. Post-war Culpeper lawyer.
