Major Hon. Edric Alfred Cecil Weld Forester was born on 26 February 1880.

He married Lady Victoria Alexandrina Wynn-Carington, daughter of Sir Charles Robert Wynn-Carington, 1st and last Marquess of Lincolnshire and Hon. Cecilia Margaret Harbord, on 10 April 1916.

He died on 24 September 1963 at age 83.

He was the son of Cecil Theodore Weld Forester, 5th Baron Forester of Willey Park and Emma Georgina Dixie.

He fought in the Boer War in 1900.

He fought in the First World War, where he was severely wounded. He gained the rank of Major and GSO(2) in 1916 in the service of the Rifle Brigade.

He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Oxfordshire in 1920.

He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Gloucestershire in 1937.

He was Clerk Cheque and Adjutant Yeomen of the Guard in 1945.

He was invested as a Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1950.

He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Gloucestershire in 1953.
