Married Elizabeth Maria Lowther Gwatkin, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Edward Gwatkin and Hetty Elizabeth Gascoigne, on 11 February 1839.
Died on 18 December 1857 at age 41 at Alumbagh, India, killed while on active service.
Major in the Bengal Native Infantry.
Fought in the Indian Mutiny in 1857.
