In 1785 James was granted lots 43 and 44 in Maugerville, New Brunswick.
His brother Zebulon received a crown grant on the Nashwaak River.In 1787 they petitioned the crown for two lots in Fredericton and were granted Lots 91 and 92 on the west bank of the Madamkaswick River.In 1800 they became involved in a dispute over the terms of settlement for this land and therefore returned to the United States.
They settled in Pennsylvania where Major James Leach died. His son James Zebulon Leach b. Jan 4 1771 in Virginia Married Phoebe Hoyt b Sept.1779.
Twelve of there children were born in the U.S.
