Nahum Forest McKusick; 1802-1883

    His body was interred at Old Dover Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft, ME.1 He was innkeeper of the Laconia House at Limerick and later became a farmer at Dover-Foxcroft. He was the Chief Musician (piper) of the 18th Maine Volunteers and later was in the 1st Maine Heavy Artillery. He carried the grade of Major as early as 1848, apparently in the militia. He and his 2nd wife, Mary Jane, moved to Dover-Foxcroft in 1851. 

Nahum was born in July 1802 at Limerick, ME.2 He married Sarah (Sally) Gordon on 20 May 1827. He married Mary Jane Tarbox on 16 June 1842 at Maine. He married Harriet (Hattie) Hart Lane on 24 October 1865 at Dover-Foxcroft, ME. Nahum died on 12 April 1883 at Dover-Foxcroft, ME, at age 80
