Susan C.(Caprice) married Randolph Newman. They were my maternal great great grandparents.

Julia married Tillman Highnote. The mother of seven children, mostly in the Haskell Co., TX area.

Eliza married Alfred Peacock, four children.

Lucinda married G. N. Byars - stayed in Palo Pinto Co.

Emily died when 24 years old

Biography - (Wikitree) - 

Melinda was born in 1817. She is one of the census records I just dearly love, she ages. She's 20 in 1850, and 43 in 1860, which I feel is closer to being correct. If 1850 is correct, then she is 2nd wife.

In 1870, Melinda and John are living in separate households. Julia and Lou are still at home. Martha and Susan are nearby, on either side, with their families.

In 1880, she is listed as Widowed, John is Divorced. Her grandson by Emily is living with her. It was not unusual for a divorced person to be called Widowed.
