Malinda Jane Arvin

Owen Walker Arvin married Malinda Jane (Kelley) on 2 Dec 1875 in Estill Co., KY. He was the son of William Arvin, 1815-1868, and Sallie Ann (Oldham) 1823or6-1864. She was the daughter of Josiah Kelley, 1830-1910, and Susan (Park) 1831-1907.

Mrs. Owen Arvin, of Station Camp, died in Richmond, KY last Monday following an operation at the Gibson Hospital, on the previous Friday, for gallstones. She left her home about two-weeks ago to visit relatives at Richmond and was stricken while there. She was a most estimable lady and will be greatly missed by the community where she lived. She was a consistent member of the Station Camp Christian Church and it was in the burying ground at that place that she was laid to rest. The sympathy of a host of friends is extended to her family, then in number, for they realize that the guiding stand of the family is gone.
