Lizzie was born in Grainger County TN in 1804. She was married 3x, and lived a long, full life. She married Emberson Brewer in MO and they lived in Scott County MO. She had 6 or 7 children, but we only know of 4. Emberson died in 1833. Lizzie moved her family to Washington County, MO and there she married William Keith. They had 3 more children. William went to CA, but came back for his family. Lizzie refused to go and they divorced. Lizzie's final marriage was in 1858 when she married Andrew Woodruff. In 1859 her daughter Mary Ann Brewer passed away leaving her husband with small children. Lizzie took the children for awhile as evidenced in the 1860 census. Lizzie and Andrew had his, hers, and Mary Ann's children. The 1870 census finds her living in Washington County with recently widowed daughter Rebecca, her children, and 2 of daughter Mary Ann's children. Husband Andrew is not listed. Lizzie was known as Granny Woodruff and passed away in 1889.
Date and place of birth have also been (erroneously?) reported to be 1804 in Grainger County, Tennessee, United States (unattested, conflicts with her Find A Grave memorial).
Date and place of death have also been (erroneously?) reported to be January 16, 1889 at Harmony Township, Washington County, Missouri, United States (unattested, conflicts with her Find A Grave memorial).
