About Manuel de Yriarte
In 6 July 1899, he started working for the American colonial government. In 1911, he was the chief of the Division of Archives of the Santo Domingo church. By 1912 he was Chief of the Division of Archives, Patents, Copyrights and Trademarks under the executive bureau under Governor-General William Cameron Forbes.By 1914 he was the third assistant executive secretary of the executive bureau under Governor-General Francis Burton Harrison.By June 1916, he was assistant director of the Philippine Library and Museum. ,He was a member of the board of regents of the University of the Philippines from 1908 to 1913.
