[The surveyors who laid out the porciones had started at the boundary with Mier and worked downriver to the boundary with Reynosa but still needed to site nine more porciones; hence their location away from the river.] Porcion 103 contained 6,218.26 acres and is situated in present-day Starr County, Texas.
