MARGARET BAIRD

Margaret Baird, here treated, is the daughter of William Baird, Mason in Paisley. Her mother is not mentioned in her baptismal record and her name cannot therefore be identified from this source. She was born on 4 November 1686, at Paisley in Renfrewshire, Scotland, and her baptism was registered there on the same day. Her baptismal record reads as follows: "Margaret daughter lawfull to William Baird mason born and bapt: the 4th of this inst. Witnesss John Glen and Alexander Jamisone in Smithills".
