Margaret Culmer

Margaret Norris was born 1815. She was the first daughter of Robert Norris jr.and Mary Dowling Mackrell. Robert Norris jr. was the only child of Robert Norris sr. and Catherine Mackrell. Robert Norris jr. wife Mary Dowling Mackrell was Catherine's younger sister. Margaret Norris married twice. Her first marriage was to John Woodruff Culmer. That marriage produced four children: Rosannah, born 1838, Mary Ann, born 1840, Robert Norris, born 1843, John Woodruff, born 1845. Margaret Norris Culmer's husband John died at the age of 30, in 1846. Margaret Norris Culmer then married George Gibson, who was born ca. 1817 in Pennsylvania. He was a widower with two children: Martin, born 1837, and Watson, born 1840. This marriage produced another child, Martha Jane, born 1849.
