On November 30, 1738, he [Rev William Currie] married Rev. Ross' eldest daughter, Margaret. To this union there were six sons and one daughter:

  • John, Esq., an atty. of Northampton Co., PA
  • James,
  • Dr.William, who lived in Philadelphia
  • Richard, who died during the Revolution
  • Ross, served on each side during the Revolution; drowned in the St. Johns River, new Brunswick, Canada (suspected suicide)
  • Dr. Alexander Ross, physician of the British Carribean, died and buried in Tortola
  • Elizabeth who marries Dr. James Diemer

Rev. Evan Evans was, in my estimation, the namesake for Evansburg, PA where he is credited with the establishment of the Saint James Episcopal Church where the Rev. George Aeneas Ross' son-in-law, the Rev. Currie††, was rector.

†† information provided for those who like to follow the creation of the Church of England parishes in colonial DE & PA. ~• MMvB, vol. curator
