Margaret was the daughter of Thomas Barker, a Dr of Physick in London and Ann Lloyd, daughter of Thomas Lloyd of Monmouthsire, Wales. [1]

Margaret married Frances Doughtie on 24 Jun1600 at Westbury on Trym, Gloucestershire. [2]

Margret was named as my daughter Margaret, the wife of Frances Doughty of Bristol in the 1617 will of her father Thomas. [3] Her marriage to Frances is also noted in the Visitation of Shropshire.

She likely died before 1634 as she was not named in the will of her husband Francis.

Francis died before 30 October 1634 when his will was probated. [5]

The five children of Margaret Barker and Francis Doughty were:

1. Frances Doughty. She was born 1602 at Of Hempstead, Oldsbury, Gloucs, England. She married Spencer Achley.
2. Francis Doughty. He was born 4 Nov 1605 at , Hempstead, Gloucestershire, England and died on an unknown date & place. He married 1) Bridget 3) Ann Graves.
3. Margaret Doughty. She was born 1603 at Hempstead, Gloucester, England, England. She married John Dauyes.
4. Elizabeth Doughty. She was born 11 Oct 1607 at Hempstead, Gloucester, England, England and died Abt 1650 at MA. She married William Cole.
5. Jacob Doughty. He was born Abt 1608 at Hempstead, Gloucester, Englan and died Abt 1630 at Gloucester, England.
