• Nor was he the same as Thomas Dudley, Esq., of Yanwath. The Cooch Book (above) charts his wife as Margaret Threlkeld (d 1551), daughter of Lancelot Threlkeld of Garwoth, or Melmerby Hall. This seems like a mixup with Grace Threlkeld, heiress of Yanwath, wife of Thomas Dudley of Yanwath. She did not have a sister Margaret.
