A well-known and highly-respected resident of the Eltham district passed away yesterday evening in the person of Mrs Dyson, who died at her Mangawhero road residence, shortly after 6 o'clock. The deceased lady, though she had been ill on and off for about two years, died rather unexpectedly, the immediate cause being heart failure. She was the second wife of G.D. Dyson, whose family numbers 15 sons and daughters, residing in various parts of New Zealand, with one in Sydney. Mr.Dyson was a Canterbury pioneer and came to Taranaki some 14 years ago, residing first at Midhirst and removing eight or nine years ago to the Eltham district. The funeral of his late wife takes place on Friday afternoon.
