The Scottish Peerage (Linthlighgow) shows William's wife merely as Margaret. Burke's Extinct Peerage 1883 shows her as a daughter of Sir John Erskine of Erskine. The Kilsyth web site referred to her as Margaret Comyn, daughter of Sir Fergus Comyn of Gogyn.
William and Margaret (Erskine) Livingston had two children:
- William (c.1300 to 11-30-1364) married Christian de Callender.
- John (c.1310 to 8-22-1364) married the daughter of Michael Wemyss.
