Here lyeth Sir Vincent Fulnetby, knight & his auncesteers. He had 2 wives, the 1 Jane the daughter of Walter Herneden esquire. she dyed anno 1593 he had by her issue 4 daughters , the 1 Elizabeth married to Vincent Sheffield of Croxbie esquire, the 2 Joan maryed to Peter Faesunt esquire one of the counsel of Yorke, the 3.Jane maryed to Sir Richard Amcoats of Astrop, knight of the Bath 1606
His 2 wife Margaret the sister of Sir Edward Dimoke, knight, the Kings Champion, he had by her issue 5 children, 2 sonnes and 3 daughters, first John whoe dyed about the age of 7 yeares, a child of good and rare vertew and towardnesse, the two Edward, Anne & Bridget yet living
Vincent died in 1593 - The family could trace back to Edward III and were obviously proud of their lineage. Could be that this monument and the Metham ones were put up at the same time.
