6.  MARGARET2 MCKEE (WILLIAM1) was born 1724 in ,,Ireland, and died 1789 in Kerr's Creek, Rockbridge, Virginia.  She married (1) ROBERT HAMILTON FARMER/PRIV/REV 1740 in ,Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.  He was born Abt. 1720 in ,County Down, Ireland, and died Aft. March 25, 1786 in Kerr's Creek, Rockbridge, Virginia.  She married (2) JAMES GARDNER November 27, 1787.  

ROBERT HAMILTON was born in 1720 in Scotland and married MARGARET MCKEE, born in 1724 (daughter of ... McKee and Miriam Brown). They settled in the Bullpasture (Kerr's Creek) in Rockbridge County Virginia with three of the McKee brothers in 1750. He died in 1786 in Rockbridge County and she died in 1789.

In 1763 an Indian raid was made on Kerr 's Creek and 2 of ROBERT's and MARTHA's children were killed, 3 were captured and later returned (Miriam was scalped).

Will of Robert Hamilton of Rockbridge County:

    In the Name of Gode Amen the 25th March 1786 I Robert Hamilton of Kerrs Creek in Rockbridge County, being ver sick and weak in Body but of perfect Mind and Memory thanks be given t o God therefore. Calling to mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed fo r all men once to die, do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say principally and first of all, I give and Recommend my Soul into the hands of God that gave it, and for my Body I recommend it to the Earth to be Buried in a Christian like and decent manner , at the direction of my Executors, nothing doubting bu at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God. And as Touching such Worldly Estate, wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life, I give and devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form, to Witt, first I give and bequeath to my wife Margaret a free Room where our bed is with all its Furniture thereunto belonging with her Wheel & Re el with all her Cloathing of whatever kind or sort it is likewise One horse called Wilkenson with a Side Sadle and Bridle (new) with suitable Intertainment for her Station and Seven pounds ye Year to uphold her in Necessaries she finds Needful for herself during  life. But in Case should not to live in that Station she is to have a liberty of Spending her days among eit her  Children, and in Case she should be so disposed, I bequeath her fifteen pounds ye Year to be paid out of my real Estate during Life, or while she continues my Widow, and no longe . Also I will and Bequeath to my William Two cows & two Calves to my son Archibald Five Cow s and two Calves, and Four Sheep. To my Son Joseph Twenty pounds to be paid out of my Real Estate. I give and bequeath to my son John the place where I now live with all the Improvement s thereunto belonging (he paying all these Legacies as the Will Specifies) to him and his heirs forever bu in Case he should dye a Batcheler, in that Case the Estate to be sold and Equal ly Divided among the Rest of his Brothers. To Moses Gwynn I bwqueath Ten pounds to be paid ou t of my Real Estate. To my Dauighter Jennett that fifty Acres of Land in Caintuck'y To Mary E rwin my Daughter the 2d Vol. of Askins works, to Miriam my Daughter One Cow & Calf & four Sheep, to my Daughter Margaret, I give or allow a Horse Saddle & Bridle with all her Cloathes, also two Beds and Beding suitable with one Case of Drawers, three Cows and three Calves with s ix Sheep--also I give to my wife Sarah Callman to wait on her during her Servitude and Hanna h her Sister to Margaret, my Daughter on Condition of their performing their duty to them a s their Indentures Requires. I constitute Wm. Hamilton & Archibald, my Sons to be my Sole Exe cutors, and I do impower them to collect all Debts due to me & to Discharge all my Lawful Deb ts Revoking all Wills and Testaments heretofore made, I confirm this to be my last Will and Testament. This and only this to be my last Will and Testament and none other, in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and Year above Written
