Obituary
Near Port William, O., March18th,1867, Mrs. Margaret Hoblit, wife of Deacon William Hoblit, aged 81 years.
More than half a century ago this aged pair began to prepare in the forest, the home they have since occupied. Patiently they toiled on together, making the wilderness a fruitful field. A large family was raised up in intelligence, industry and virtue under their care: all well provided for, and well-doing. Her long life developed fully the excellency of an affectionate wife, devoted mother, an earnest christian and a kind friend and neighbor. A large circle of relatives and friends attended her funeral, and appropriate services were performed by Rev. B.Y. Seigfried. A long life well spent, ended in peace, prepared for eternal rest with the sanctified above.
