Margaret King

Her tombstone recorded a birth in 1857, so that year is used here, but she was baptized in Clareabbey, County Clare, Ireland in 1856. She was the daughter of Martin McMahon and Mary Duggan.

The death of Mrs. Margaret McMahon, wife of John King, of 289 Poplar Street, occurred at her late residence early yesterday morning after a short illness. Her funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 8:30 o'clock from the Grady Funeral Home, 230 Grand Avenue. A solemn high mass of requiem will be celebrated in St. Francis Church at 9 o'clock. Mrs. King was a native of County Clare Irland, and a member of St. Francis Parish. Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Donachy of Linden, New Jersey; Mrs. Frank Mile of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Henry Perkins of this city; one son, Martin J. King; one brother, John McMahon and several grandchildren. Burial will take place in the family plot in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
