Margaret Lindsay was the daughter of Alexander Lindsay of Auchtermonzie, 7th Earl of Crawford and Isobel Campbell.[1],[2]

She married James Ogilvy, 3rd Lord Ogilvy of Airlie, son of Sir John Ogilvy, 2nd Lord Ogilvy of Airlie and Jean Graham.[1]

She was also known as Isobel.[3]

Her married name became Ogilvy.[1] As a result of her marriage, Margaret Lindsay was styled as Lady Ogilvy.
