Parentage

The Bradburne pedigree in the Derbyshire Visitations of 1569 and 1611 incorrectly shows that Margaret was the daughter of "Sir Raufe Longford the elder."[1] In fact, Margaret was the daughter of Sir Ralph Longford's son and heir, Sir Nicholas Longford and his wife Joan (Warren) Longford, as established by a 1480 indenture by Humphrey Bradburne's parents, John Bradbourne and Ann Vernon, and others to Ashburn church which included a request that the priest pray for the Bradburne family including:

the good estate of Humphrey Bradburne, son and heir of said John and Anne, and of Margaret, wife of said Humphrey daughter to Sir Nicholas Longford and sister to Sir Nicholas Longford[2][3][4]
